| Since the website required a total overhaul to tackle the technical issues, I decided to entirely re-format the site. The homepage is running (complete with the new design), however the navigation will be disabled until I can complete the remainder of the pages.

| | I have been manually combing through each page trying to adjust the settings from the file import. I realize that several pages are still in a state of disorder, and some, like the Loyalist Committee pages have disappeared entirely. It will probably take me several more weeks to get the site up and running properly once again. | comments: Leave a comment |
| I have made quite a bit of progress on my Padme Meadow Picnic gown. Which is a generally a good thing, since my finish date is drawing near. There are several new photos posted in the Picnic gown section, though not nearly as many as I had intended.
On a technical note, I have (finally) obtained a new computer. During the import process a lot of my settings were changed so I will have to go back and manually fix any issues. This may take awhile and it won't be something I can even begin working on until the Picnic gown is complete. Until then, sorry if the site looks a bit strange, the fonts especially. | comments: 1 comment or Leave a comment |
| Besides exhausting my memory capacity, I also seemed to have a glitch in my software. After re-installation, things seem to be running, though I'm still on memory overload. I'll probably plan for a major site overhaul after obtaining a new computer.
With regards to costuming news, I have been moderately productive. My Padme Picnic Gown was put on temporary hold and I finished my Robe a l'Anglaise in the meantime. I am intending to do a full write-up on the Anglaise, however I just don't have time at the moment.
I have also opened a new page for Mrs. Lovett's "By the Sea" costume from Sweeney Todd. I am currently working on gathering notes regarding this costume and constructing the undergarments. More progress photos will be posted soon. | comments: Leave a comment |
| | I have quite a bit to update, however I'm having problems with my diskspace and memory at the moment. Since resolving the issue will probably require purchasing a new computer, it may be sometime until I am able to update. In the meantime, my personal costume blog is updated regularly and can be found here. | comments: Leave a comment |
| | I've been a bit busy over the holiday season and I have also been a bit distracted from costuming of late. I haven't updated because I've haven't made very much progress on any of my costumes. There are some updates on the Meadow Picnic Gown here. | comments: Leave a comment |
| While I am always glad to answer email questions regarding my costumes I feel the need to clarify what is not acceptable to ask any costumer. Please do not send me emails asking for my patterns. I make all of my own patterns and they require extensive work and research. It is really the most labor intensive part of creating any costume. Any costumer would find this offensive and I am no exception. My patterns are not for sale or rent, nor do I ever give them away. That being said, please don't email me asking me to "give" you any piece of any of my costumes. It is extremely offensive. Please think very carefully about this before emailing a costumer to make an absurd request. Please also note that the international costuming community is quite small and close-knit and rude emails will put you on a sort of email blacklist. It also needs to be said that this notice applies to probably 1% of the people who utilize my website.

| | Completely at random, I decided to try my hand at the Padme Meadow Picnic gown. My motive for taking on such a project was simply that I loathe wearing both my Padme Packing gown and Loyalist Committee gown. I would really enjoy having a Padme costume that doesn't require a mess of false hair, chicken wire and laquer on the top of my head. Since it's an entirely new project, I was quite excited to begin and made a fair amount of progress. I have most of the fabric on hand or ordered and many of the accessories. I'm currently working on the corset embroidery. Here's the new page. | comments: Leave a comment |
| I suddenly remembered that I had to go back and look at the wool flannel from Manhattan Fabrics since there seems to be a major shortage in suitable Jedi cloak wool. I haven't ordered swatches, but it looks as if it may be suitable, though the price certainly isn't cheap. Here's the link.

| | At the time I had purchased materials for an Obi Wan costume, I was quite broke and had intended to puchase screen accurate materials at the first opportunity. I was quite excited to find a 100% cotton crinkle crepe at my favorite fabric store (Gayfeather Fabrics) last week. I couldn't resist, and ended up buying 5 yards to make more accurate inner and outer tunics. My Obi-Wan page. See photo. | comments: Leave a comment |
| Okay, a few more changes. Bear with me as I try to work the bugs out of the embedded journal style for news and updates. I'm not sure if I'll keep this updated style, we'll see how well it works first. | comments: 1 comment or Leave a comment |
